Background
At Digicentre, I worked with a four-person team to develop Animal Striker, an P2P online multiplayer title created specifically to benchmark and showcase the studio's cloud server infrastructure. While the project relied on pre-made assets due to budget considerations, I focused my creative efforts on the mechanics and intense combat interaction systems, crafting a unique experience that highlights the server's stability. Although the project’s development was short-lived, it served as a critical proof-of-concept for the efficiency of integrated cloud services in indie game operations.
Contribution
As the visionary behind the original concept, I led the development of Animal Striker from its inception. When the project faced significant budget reallocations due to unforeseen financial constraints, I navigated the team through a critical strategic pivot. After scrapping several months of progress with custom assets, I spearheaded the transition to a pre-made asset workflow. I restructured our existing technical frameworks to ensure compatibility, allowing us to maintain a high-quality gameplay experience without missing key milestones.
This experience honed my ability to remain agile under pressure, demonstrating that I can lead a team to reassemble and deliver a polished product even when faced with drastic shifts in resources.
